Last time I was home in Norway I had a wonderful evening scrapping with my good friend Trude. Scrappejungelen had recently received the New Websters pages papers and I got to play with them for some LO's for the store in Stavanger. I love Websters, they are SO beautiful, and gets my creative juices flowing every time ;-)

Syden*

"Syden" is a Norwegian term used for the Mediterranean area. It is what the kids call where-ever we have been on holiday, whether it's Spain, Greece or Turkey. The picture is from a house we rented in Spain last year. We absolutely loved it, and are going back in a week (I can hardly wait!).

7 years

Lyme Regis

I love the Tracy Chevalier books. It started with Girl With a Pearl Earring, and I have read all of them (as far as I know) since then. So when Remarkable Creatures came last fall, I had to get it right away. The setting is from Lyme Regis. Which was the first thing to spark my interest. Lyme Regis on the South Western coast of the UK is known for fossils. I thought it would be interesting for the kids as well. They learnt about rocks and fossils in their nursery in Norway. Anyways, we took a daytrip there in May and it was really special and beautiful! We are sure to go back :-)

I have not been a very good blogger lately! Sorry about that, we are still adjusting to our new life in London and I have not really been scrapping that much. But I did make a few LO's for Scrappejungelen when I was in Norway in September. I had such a good time playing around with the christmas papers from Graphics 45 and In Stitches from Prima. They are lovely!

This paper is just supercute! The text on the PP reads "It was the night before Christmas", which was just perfect for this picture of Oliver sleeping the night before Christmas 2008.

Lucia

Every 13th December we celebrate St.Lucia, and the children dress in white and parade holding "candles". This is from last years celebration in Ella's nursery.

Anticipation

Oliver waiting for Christmas Eve to start. In Norwegian tradition Santa Claus arrives on Christmas Eve. The picture lifts up to reveal a picture of Santa arriving, plus the journalingbox attached to the Santa on his sled picture.

Christmas 2008

Ella dressed and ready for Christmas Eve to start. She was so cute, wanting to look her absolute best for Santa, and "needing" my tiara (bought but not used when we got married whey back when).

I love this picture of Ella and Oliver with their cousin Pernille from our vacation in Spain in June. On this I used on of the beautiful In Stitches papers from Prima.

I have scrapped! In the past week I have made 2 LO's, and here they are. My first LO's since we moved to London.

Fairy in the garden

We have had such a wonderful summer this year. These pictures were taken just over a week ago. Ella playing in the garden in her fairy costume. Also Ella running away from mommy as she did not want me to photograph her. But how could I resist? She looks almost magical :-)

4 years

Oliver had his 4 year Birthday Party the day before the movers came and packed our house down. It was also 2 days after we returned from our 2 week holiday in Spain. It was quite a task to get everything done in time, but he only turns four once, and we wanted it to be memorable for him. In the end it turned out really nice, we had the house full of happy 3-5 year old boys. And he loved being the center of all the attention :-)

Ok, so I feel like a really terrible blogger. With the moving and everything I have honestly not scrapped in 2 months!! I am starting to feel withdrawal symptoms! So today we went to IKEA and bought me a new desk. So now FINALLY my scraproom is ready for use! So I have printed a few pictures, and plan to spend my evening here. As soon as the little rascals are put to bed. My husband is out today, so I have the house to myself for a few precious evening hours :-)

In the meantime, here are a few of the last LO's I made before moving here (my apologies for the lousy photos, I took them while we were packing down the house):

Update from London

We moved in on Wednesday. When we arrived there was no one to meet us at the house. But it was unlocked as apparently there are 3 workers still working on the bathroom. They will be there for at least an other week apparently. Of the 3 toilets in the house, luckily one them does work. The washing machine unfortunately did not. It was filled with smelly water, and when we started it it flooded the utility room... The kitchen has a nice fridge/freezer with ice-cubes in the door. Unfortunately that was leaking water too. Most of the rooms of the house where finished, but as our beds are being sent from Norway we were staying in the guestroom, where we have rented furniture. However that room plus one of the other had no ceiling light. The house was supposedly cleaned by professional cleaners, however it was really dirty still and there were dead insects in the lamps (where there were lamps, which was not in every room).

It has been really warm in London the last two days. Yesterday was about 32c. One of the newspapers wrote about a heatwave coming in with temperatures up to 50c apparently. But the workers are working on tiling the patio (well they are working on the bathroom, so there is really no progress on the patio), but anyways we cannot use the garden for at least another week.

So there is a little bit of chaos on this end at the moment. But today the movers came with our stuff from Norway, so at least now we can move into our rooms, and things will start to settle. Although we will have to deal with the ungoing work for some time still. My agent calls it a "breach of the tenancy agreement" and have filed a complaint. But that does not really help us that much...

Fingers crossed, come next weekend we will finally be able to use the garden and have things a little more settled...

I am at work today for the first day, which has been really nice. Although the tube ride in was an experience I dare say. I came on on the second station, where all seats were already taken. After about 2-3 stops the train was so full I though there would not be room for more people on it. But apparently there was! So Monday morning I plan to try for the first or last carriage to see if those are better. The highlight of the day has been to meet my new collegues. There are so many people that I know from before, and everyone is being really nice. So I do really feel welcome. Which is always good on ones first day at a new job...

There has not been much time for scrapping lately, and now all my scrapbooking supplies are in boxes awaiting a journey over the ocean to our new home... Here is a picture, with Oliver sitting on the garden steps of our home for the next (possibly) 2 years:

Today the movers came and packed down most of our house. So now we are living out of our suitcases at my mothers house. On July 1st we will get on the plane and fly to our new home. It is a little surreal, but exciting, although quite stressful at the moment...

Happy birthday, Norway!

Today is Norway's national day. A wonderful combination of happy children, national costumes, parades, balloons, Norwegian flags, games at the local school, and lots and lots of ice cream! Oliver got so exhausted we had to take a break and let him nap :-)

So I used the break to crop some pictures of LO's I did when we were in Oslo in March (a little overdue I know, sorry!)

Flowers for Mummy

I love when the kids bring me flowers, it is so cute! And with lilac flowers, I got to use lilac on my LO too, which is a colour I for some reason hardly ever use... The tag with the vintage picture on it I made with transfer technique, getting instructions from Oddbjørg.

Ella

This picture is from my fathers summer house last summer. I just love this picture of Ella, it simply captures the atmosphere of the place. I experimented with this photograph in PS, removing the colours from everything except her dress.

London, here we come!

It is finally official, the reason why I have been SO busy lately (and such a terrible blogger). We are moving to London! This summer we will be moving to Wimbledon, London to stay for the next 1-3 years. I am so exited, but also a bit apprehensive. I will be working at the London office, and my husband will be a stay-at-home-dad. I hope this will prove to be a wonderful adventure for the whole family, and that we will not be TOO homesick while we are abroad.

Any tips on scrapbooking in London are highly appreciated. I hope the English have crop-nights too!

Easter vacation

The kids are home from kindergarten, and we are off from work. It is so lovely getting to spend some "lazy days" together. Yesterday we went to the beach with friends and neighboors and grilled hotdogs. Today Ella and me are going into Stavanger to visit Scrappejungelen and pick up some goodies. Both Ella and Oliver scrapbook and have their own supplies and album :-) It is so great that we can share this wonderful hobby! Ellas 6th birthday is coming up, and more than anything she wants a camera (how cute is that!). So she is getting a pink Canon powershot E1 (hush, don't tell). Oliver and daddy are going to work in the garden. The weather is beautiful outside, and life is good!

New dress

I made this LO a while ago. The picture is of Ella on the Norwegian National Day some years ago. She is wearing a dress that me and my mother knit for her. So I got inspired by that textbox with a mother knitting for her daughter.

I was at the crop in Misjonskirka in Stavanger last weekend, and I got to make a few new layouts. The two first below I made then. I also got to attend a course by amazing Ania AND I got to hang out with a bunch of wonderful, inspiring and amazing scrappers. Gotta love that!

I just love my new lense :-) I resently bought the 50mm 1,8 lense for my Canon EOS 350D, and love the sharper and lighter pictures. The picture in the new header I took today on our sunday trip. Sunday is expedition time in our family, so today we explored the old houses in "Gamle Stavanger" (old town in Stavanger).

I have been sick for over a week, so not much scrapping going on for a few days... Feeling a little better today though, so hopefully I am over the worst of it. Have received a few scrapping goodies in the mail over the last few days, and am looking forward to playing with them.

Bliss! May Lis came home from CHA with samples for us in the Scrappejungelen Designteam to play with. Gotta love that! So I made these:

Ready for school

This paper from MME's Penny Lane series reminded me of school and of Ella being so ready to start school. She does not start untill this fall, but last summer she was talking about it all the time, and wanted to start sooner. On this picture she looks so determined, so I thought it fit the story well. I have also "gone crazy" with Prima flowers and metall embellishments from Kort og Godt.

Gummel

I was challenged to make something from the new America Craft papers. Although not quite my usual style, it was a lot of fun doing something a little more clean and simple than I usually do. The story is of Oliver who awoke late at night and told me about an angry man who had been there. I was alone in the house with the kids, so I ran into Ella's room checking that she was ok. All the while wondering why the dog was not barking like crazy if there were strangers in the house. So as you can imagine my heart was beating fast while I was contemplating what to do. After a while though I managed to get out of my three year old Oliver that the angry voice had come from outside. The window was open, but the bedroom is on the third floor. Our yard borders a path where apparently an angry man must have walked by. Poor boy. He woke up so worried. But had to scrap the picture and story though.

Fri

The new Enchanted line from Pink Paislee is so beautiful! One of the papers is covered in adorable butterflies, which is where the butterflies are from. I punched out a hole in the background paper to frame one of them. The rose is from another paper from the same series. I stamped a fairy on an old magazine page and embellished with Stickles. I also stamped a bird on a corner of the picture and traced it with Stickles.

Balder

Ella and our dog, Balder. They are such good friends. She always wants to hold him when we go for his afternoon walk. And he will walk extra carefully when she is holding him. Another LO with the Enchanted line from Pink Paislee.

Mummy I don't know anyone I can marry !!?!

Ella was really into growing up last fall. She planned how many kids she would have (at most she was up to 2 boys and billion girls). Of course she needed a husband to be a father for those children (well daddy is mummy's husband, and to her at 5, we are the big rolemodels). It was kind of a blow for her when she understood that she could not marry her little brother, Oliver. So then panic struck, and she exclaimed: "Mummy I do not know anyone I can marry!!??!". I suggested her friend in Kindergarden, Lars. But she explained that he pushed and hit her, so she could not marry him. I (proudly) agreed. After all we cannot marry someone who does not treat us well...

All this happened in the back seat of the car driving to kindergarden so I did not actually capture it on film. But I wanted to scrap the story, and this picture seemed fitting. The story is recorded on the tags behind the rose. And I added a photo of a mother and baby from a 1950's magazine for good measure :-)

I made this LO for round 3 at Mesterscrappen, the task was to use the word "Tenk" in the headline.

Adventure

I made this for the second task at Mesterscrappen, and came in second in my group :-) The task was to be inspired by an add.

I love this picture from our local park. The kids love to explore it. And an added bonus is my mother living close by. So our little adventures often end up with waffles or ice-cream at her house.

I got a new lense today for my camera! I am looking forward to hopefully taking better pictures of my LO's... I have a Canon EOS 350D, and it is so difficult getting good pictures with the kit lense, when I try not to use the flash. But the new lense takes in more light so hopefully that will help!

I made this for Mesterscrappen at Scrapping.no We got a sketch to scrap. And I was lucky enough to share the 1st place with Anne :-)

I love these pictures of Ella running like the wind ("fort som vinden" as we say in Norwegian). Giving it her all.

I fell in love with the new Prima Vines the minute I saw them. But since they are not available yet, I improvised and made my own with Got Flowers and Bazzill Daisy's. The felt gate is from Prima too. I cut out the center of it to make it into an open gate.

A little while ago I bought a lot of vintage lace little table cloths from Ebay. So I used one of those behing the picture. Something with lace that reminds me of strawberries and summer days for some reason...

Sheep

Last fall we went to the mountains to see the sheep return from their summer stay up there. The kids were amazed at the sea of white coming towards us. We stayed in a cabin with my in-laws. And on such trips there is always a crossword-puzzle we work on. A cup of coffee and the crossword-puzzle has kind of become a tradition. So I use the crossword from an old magazine to back the photo. The task for the LO was to use a bit of fabric that might otherwise get discarded, so I used a bit of an old scarf.

At last

Snow is always popular with my kids. We do not really get that many days with snow each year. This picture is from the first snow day we had. Me and Oliver played outside, and I made snowballs for him to throw on the garage. So much fun! I used Prima bling snowflakes and a coaster from Indiska(sorry about the terrible picture of the page though).

Anticipation

The deer is a Christmas ornament I picked up at Åhléns before Christmas. I just fell for it and knew I had to use it on one of my Christmas pages! And I have used feathers again. Something about them that goes so well with Christmas I think!

Twas the night before Christmas

This pictures is of Ella sleeping the night before Christmas. I told her that she had to sleep before Santa could come and fill her Christmas stocking. And she very seriously nodded and put her head on the pillow. Moments later she was sleeping. So cute!

Christmas tree traditions:

This page is about our Christmas tree traditions. I grew up with a cat that loved to play with the Christmas tree ornaments. So on our tree we never had matching ornaments, because the cat would always break a few every year. So I love to have many different ornaments on our tree now too. I pick up odd and charming ornaments when I travel or whenever I stumble upon them. And so many of our ornaments have a story. The ballerina is from the Oprah in Budapest, the white elephant is from Prague, the blue house I got as a child and the toy soldier is new from this year.

I had so much fun with this page. It started out with a christmas ornament PP from BG's Figgy Pudding line. I was thinking "now this must be the perfect opportunity to use that!". But then I started adding gold paint, glimmer mist and distress stickles. And before I knew it the pattern did not even show any more :lol:

Christmas 2008

Now these pictures of us going around the Christmas tree, seldom turn out well. But, on the other hand I want the kids to remember that we did do that every Christmas of their childhood. It is part of the tradition from my family. After dessert on Christmas Eve, we walk around the tree and sing. And then (after a while) Santa comes and visit us, bringing presents.

These photos were taken by my friend Christine when we were in the local amusement park last summer with some of our scrapping friends and the kids. So much fun :-) Ella and Oliver give it their all, eating the chocolate they have just made in the "chocolate factory".

This picture is of Oliver with my mother on a trip we did last spring. I love how he leans into her, taking comfort from her hand. It shows so well the bond between them. He loves his grandma så much, he sometimes blurts it out in odd situations like around the dinner table or in the car. He is such a cutie :-)

One tired little guy

I made this LO some time ago for Scrappejungelen but handed it in before I got to take a picture of it. It was so funny, it has been on display in the shop, but when I saw it again I did not remember making it. So when I saw it there I was wondering who had made it. And then I recognised Oliver :lol:

The picture was taken last spring. Oliver had been to one of his first birthday parties. It is usually Ella who gets invitations for those, as she is a little older. So he was SO proud when his very own invitation was in our mailbox. For the week leading up to his party he was asking every day how long it would be before the party. When the day finally arrived he was SO happy. After the party he was exhausted. It was Ellas birthday that day as well so we had family over at home too. But Oliver was so tired. He fell asleep in his shirt and everything, and ended up sleeping through to the next day! So cute!

Your first tooth

Ella was so proud when she lost her first tooth in November. The second one followed just a few days later :-) She has been bragging about her loose teeth since the summer. But because she had something with her heart we were worried she could get bacteria into her bloodstream or that the loose teeth could be a problem when she was to be intubated. So, even though this was a proud time for her, we were not as exited. But her heart was fixed in September, so when she finally lost her first tooth in November we could all share her happiness. She put her tooth into a glass of water. And then the Toothfairy came and changed the tooth into money :-)So the text is about that.

This LO kind of took on a life of its own :lol: I do not really recall what my plan was, but certainly not this :lol: I am currently reading "The Virgin Blue" by Tracy Chevalier where there is a burnt out bible left in a secret compartment in the chimney. In the book the bible still contains important information to the story. So I was inspired by that. The text paper is from October Afternoon, and is SO usable. Also I have seen Oddbjørg do something simular with old bookpages and loved the effect. But this page kindof kept morphing into something else evertime I went near it. It has been on my desk the last few days, and I have done bits and pieces here and there when I had a few minutes :lol: I find it a bit unfamiliar to not have any "white space". But there simply where not any room left in the end :lol: I guess this was not so easy to scrap for me, both because of the memories and because I do not often use that many picture on a single LO ;-)

Merry Christmas! Now Christmas Eve is just hours away. The kids are watching Christmas movies in their PJ's. So I wanted to take this opportunity to wish Merry Christmas to anyone who might stumble upon my blog today!

I hold you - In my heart

This years christmas card pictures just arrived from the photographer, and I just had to make a LO. I have this thing for Christmas and snow PP. So after a few years of scrapping I have quite a selection, there are not that many Christmas and snow LO's every year. Not compared with all the lovely patterned paper that comes out. And then I ended up doing this LO without Christmas paper :LOL: But then Ella's Christmas dress fit so well with this paper from MM.

I worked it over with glimmer mist and distress stickles. So fun! I used a Prima felt gate to frame the picture, and just cut out the middle of it. Will use that later some time ;-)

Advent calender

Every year I exchange advent calenders with my friend Trude. This year I wanted to make a calender that we can use again in the next years as well. I was inspired by the matchbox calenders so many have made this year. But realised that my gifts to her would never fit in those tiny drawers. So I made my own version instead. I used bigger sized matchboxes. On top of it I made a box were the bigger gifts will go. On some days Trude will find a note in her drawer telling her to "go fish", and then she can choose a present from the box. On Christmas Eve I wanted something special, so that gift will be in the paperbag on top of the lid on the box. The paperbag was part of the Advent calender she made for me last year. So I wanted to incorporate it in some way. Since I had already used 24 boxes, I converted one of them into one bigger drawer to make room for a bigger gift and ending up with 23 drawers instead.

On the inside all the drawers are painted with gold paint. The nob is a brad, and on the inside I covered that side of the drawer with bookbindingtape. Then I painted the whole inside with gold paint.

I had so much fun playing with dimentions on this project. Normally I cannot be this 3D on my scrapbookpages, so I wanted to really go to town with my embellishments on this. I used styrofoam balls and a heart that I painted in gold and embellished with stickles and sequins. I used the angel from a PP from 3ndy on the paperbag and used Stickles on that too. On the back of the back I glued angel wings. And I also used white feathers throughout on other details as well.

The patterned papers I have used comes from MME, MM, 3ndy, Melissa Frances, Anna Griffin and Basic Gray. I had so much fun creating this for Trude. Now I really hope that she will like it too!

Christmas LO with Norwegian papers

A little while some friends were here scrapping. Such a nice way to spend an evening! I recently got the new collection of Papirdesign christmas papers, so I wanted to make a Christmas LO. The picture is from last year, of the children baking cookies with their friends.

Collage

When I was at PACS I attended Carolyn Peelers "Collage Basics" class. We had so much fun playing around with acrylic paint, gesso and mixed medium. Every collage was very different. We were given plenty of supplies and the techniques, and then we did our own thing. SO much fun!

I got the bookpage and blue roses from Oddbjørg. Thank you! And then added some of my own stuff too. The metal circle thing with the bling in the middle is from one of those decorative things on a stick bought at the florist after a tip from Monica. It was silver, but I went over it with beige and brown distress paint and green and brown glimmer mist. So now it looks like its been laying in a ditch somewhere for years. The picture of Ella and Oliver was on our christmas cards last year. It was taken by a "Fame" photographer. TFL.

MME Høst LO

I made this for the MME challenge at Papirfest. The challenge was to use at least 80%MME products from their new lines. With added points for including Spellbinder die cuts. So I started messing about with some of the new Laundry line papers. They are gorgeous! I cut out the middle of one of them and mounted it on pop dots and scrapped the middle. The leaves are some I picked up on the autumn sale last year. They are confetti to decorate dinner tables with etc.

Anyways, I WON!!!! I had to leave before the final, because I had an early plane to Vienna the next day, but my friends called me. I was so happy and giddy I could not sleep :lol: As a price I received a huge goody bag from Trish. With tons of goodies from the new MME stuff. Plenty of papers, rubons, chipboard shapes etc. Sounds increadible, right? Well, it did not stop there... I also got the Spellbinder dies I had included on the layout. Wow!

Mommy, something happened...

...that is what Oliver said yesterday. The kids had been playing oh so quitely upstairs. And this is the little guy that came downstairs to mummy. Wet to the bone but quite happy. The kids had found a packet of toilet paper and decided to wash them... The result of which is very close to paper mache all over our bathroom! I had to concentrate very hard not to laugh, but the clean up afterwards was quite a job I can tell you. (My appologies for the awful picture quality on the picture of Oliver, I did not have time to take many pictures as the drama unfolded)

Some pages I made in Paris

These layouts I made when I was in Paris for PACS. It took some time to get them photographed. Anyways, this first LO I made for the contest on Friday. And I came in second! Oddbjørg came first, and Cecilie Lundstad third. So that was one great day for the Norwegian girls at PACS!

The competition was to include a list of elements and not include others. And what elements we could use was decided by what drink we chose. Good challenge! The picture is of the kids riding the merry-go-round in Dyreparken this summer.

The LO below I made for the bingo challenge at PACS. The task was to choose 5 elements from a list and include them (and none of the others) on a LO. Then the elements were drawn one by one. I did not include felt, so I was out in the first draw :lol: Good fun though!

The picture is of Ella waiting for her guests to arrive on her birthday turning 3. I love how the sunlight is caught in her adorable little face. Standing there all pretty and impatient in her new dress (that is too big). Brings back some good memories :-)

The pink tag with the dress pattern behind the picture I got from Xstine, and I think it fit just perfect with this picture.

Seems I cannot quite decide whether to write in Norwegian or English... So I guess I do a little bit of both!

Karusell glede

Denne laget jeg til Miss Skisse på Minneriket. Det var Silje som hadde laget skissen. Jeg liker veldig godt disse bildene av Oliver på karusellen i sommer. Og så ville jeg ta opp grønnfargen i genseren hans, samtidig som jeg ville at LO'en skulle være litt shabby/vintage. Løsningen ble å ta frem et grønt Bazzill ark og herje i vei med Glimmer Mist og Crackle Paint. Kjempegøy! Endelig fikk jeg brukt et av Bazzill arka også, er lenge siden sist...
Snurrehjulet er fra K&Comp og jeg syntes det passet så godt med den gammeldagse karusellen på bildene. Notearket er fra bestemor og er nesten 100år gammelt. Jeg fikk en hel bunke noter, men har bare hjerte til å scrappe med dem som var ukomplette. Jeg har sprayet notene med Archival Mist (for å nøytralisere evt. syre) og Glimmer Mist. På notearket har jeg også stemplet med et av de nye fe-stemplene jeg kjøpte på PACS. Jeg synes de er bare SÅ søte! Blomstene som er stemplet bak snurrehjulet er fra samme stempelsettet.

I made this for a sketch at Minneriket. I wanted my background sheet to be the colour of Olivers green sweather, so I played around with a sheet of Bazzill. Altering it with Distress crackle paint and Glimmer mist. The notes are from my Grandmother, she has left me a whole pile of notes from the home she grew up in. But I can only bring myself to scrap with those that are broken and missing some pages :lol:

Nå er vi hjemme igjen fra PACS i Paris. Det har vært kjempegøy! Veldig kjekt å møte menneskene bak nickene som jeg kjenner i fra forum-verden. Og så og oppdage at de er så kjekke og greie damer i virkeligheten også. Helt topp!

Kursene på PACS har brakt ny inspirasjon, men mest inspirasjon kommer igrunnen fra alt rundt. Paris og Versailles i seg selv er jo svært vakre og inspirerende steder. Vi var på Jeff Koons utstilling på slottet i Versailles. Det var kult å se den kontrasten mellom ultramoderne/kitsch og tradisjonelt/gammelt/barokk. Overlat til franskmennene å komme på en slik sammenheng! For meg fremhevet de to stilene hverandre på en positiv måte.

Etterhvert kommer der nok bilder, både fra turen og av ting jeg fikk laget. Men, enn så lenge ville jeg bare fortelle litt om en flott tur og ny inspirasjon og scrappelyst!

Now I am home again from PACS in Paris. It has been so much fun! Incredibly nice meeting the wonderful women behind the nicknames I have gotten used to on different internet fora. And then discover how nice they are IRL too!

The classes I have attended at PACS have given me new inspiration, but most of my newfound scrapbooking inspiration comes from everything around the event. Paris and Versailles in themselves are wonderfully inspiring places. Just looking in the boutiques and at the facades etc. was so inspiring! We visited the Castle as well, and saw the Jeff Koons exhibit. It was so cool with the ultramodern/kitsch vs the old/baroque. Leave it to the french to come up with that! To me the different era's really enhanced eachother. Excellent use of contrasts!

I have ambitions to get some pictures put in here, but for now I only wanted to update you on the incredible trip I have had, and on newfound inspiration. Desperately needed after months of being "unscrappy".

Tilbake fra Rikshospitalet

Alt har gått kjempefint :-) Jeg skrev for litt siden at Ella skulle til Rikshospitalet for en hjertekateterisering. Jeg gruet meg sånn til dette. Klarte ikke scrappe eller sove eller gjøre noen ting. Men, nå er det heldigvis over. Ella er i bedre form enn noengang, og nå har hun ha et hjerte som fungerer like bra og kommer til å vare like lenge som hos andre barn! Det er en sånn lettelse å være ferdig at jeg får ikke sagt det med ord!

Apropos "roteplassen min" i forrige innlegg. Det ser ikke noe bedre ut der enda. Men, jeg satser på å få mer tiltakslyst etterhvert som jeg legger dette med Ella bak meg :-)

Her er bilde av roteplassen min. Under lag på lag med scrappesaker er dette egentlig en ganske koselig scrappeplass. Men, nå... Det går jo ikke ann å sitte der nesten... Men, jeg er i gang. Jeg har kjøpt meg Cropper Hopper Paper and sticker binder, og har fått orden på Thickers'ene ihvertfall. Så det går ihvertfall litt fremover, selv om det tar tid.

Rot i systemet

"Det er bedre med system i rotet enn rot i systemet" har visst lenge vært mitt motto når det kom til scrappeplassen min. Men, nå er det bare rot og ikke system, og jeg blir ikke noe inspirert til å sette meg ned der, får bare litt sånn dårlig samvittighet for at det ser så fælt ut og går raskt videre... Så nå SKAL det ryddes. Ikke mer unnskyldninger! Tenkte jeg måtte skrive det i bloggen og gjøre det "offisielt" slik at jeg ikke kan ombestemme meg når jeg kommer hjem fra jobb i ettermiddag og er sliten og trøtt...

Er der noen som har noe inspirasjon til meg? Bilder, eller tips? Da hadde jeg blitt veldig glad :-) Skal se om jeg ikke får ordnet et "før"-bilde også så blir det så mye kjekkere å se forandringen etterpå... (Regner med at dette prosjektet tar noen dager altså, for her snakker vi lag på lag med rot!!).

PACS 2008

3 nye LO'er

Noen LO'er jeg har laget til sommerskolen på Minneriket. På denne LO'en var oppgaven å bruke maling. Jeg er så glad i dette bildet. Jeg tok det en av de første sommerdagene i mai da vi var på søndagstur i parken. Det er det samme bildet som jeg har i header'en til bloggen.

På denne var oppgaven å bruke en knapp på en spennende måte. Så her har jeg brukt en knapp i overskriften, vet ikke om det var så spennende da men. Sånn ble det nå.

Denne var til en skisse-oppgave. Jeg ble ikke helt fortrolig med balansen i oppsettet, så jeg synes den ble litt rar. Men, bildene er herlige da. Det var Oliver som ble så gira da han endelig hadde bursdag at han like greit bøyde seg frem etter lysblåsingen og tok en real bit fra kaka...

LO'er til jungelen

Her er noen LO'er jeg har laget til Scrappejungelen. Jeg har brukt ark fra October Afternoon og MM.

Her er Ella på hyttetur tidligere i sommer. Noen lego-klosser ble plutselig til en salgsbod, der hun solgte "Løk eller is?" Så herlig! Fantasien er ihvertfall i orden!

På ferie er det jammen godt å ha med en venn, og heldigvis kan Ella og Oliver leke med hverandre. Det hjelper jo at Oliver er så tålmodig med storesøster da...

Oliver ble 3år i juni og var stolt som en hane! LO'en omhandler bursdagen hans, men også overgangen fra liten til stor :-)

En LO fra turen til Legoland tidligere i sommer. Et sjelden bilde med meg foran kamera... Men, det er jo kjekt å ha med i albumen det også for barna da.

Hjemme igjen

I går var vi på Rikshospitalet. Det gikk ganske greit. Ella var så tapper. Hun lå helt fint mens de undersøkte henne, men tilslutt begynte hun å gråte der hun lå. Vi fikk mer informasjon om operasjonen. De kaller det ikke operasjon da, det kalles visst intervensjon ettersom de kan gjøre inngrepet vha et kateter i lysken, og ikke trenger å skjære i henne. Det er veldig lite risiko ved inngrepet. Det er ikke mer farlig enn å operere inn dren i ørene. Så det er jo betryggende da. Jeg som ikke er lege synes jo at hjertet høres mye farligere ut enn ørene, men det er jo fantastisk at de kan "fikse" henne nesten uten risiko. Ella gruer seg da.

Legen forklarte at hun kommer til å sitte på fanget mitt og så får hun medisinen gjennom veneflon i hånden. Så sovner hun inn i narkosen på fanget mitt. Hun får medisin som gjør at hun slutter å puste. Så når hun har sovnet tar de henne veldig raskt og hjelper henne å puste med maske før de intuberer. Da må vi gå ut av rommet. Og så får vi komme inn til henne etter operasjonen slik at vi sitter hos henne når hun våkner. Ella satt og så barnefilm mens legen forklarte. På flytoget etterpå begynte hun å gråte. "Men, jeg vil ikke at du skal gå ut mamma, jeg vil du skal holde meg i hånden hele tiden!" sa hun. Så sovnet hun i fanget mitt; helt utslitt... Stakkars liten, av alt det legen hadde sagt så syntes hun det skumleste var at vi måtte gå ut fra rommet...

Rikshospitalet i morgen

I morgen skal vi på Rikshospitalet og gjøre nye undersøkelser av hjertet til Ella. Gruer meg! Vet ikke hvorfor egentlig, for operasjonen blir jo ikke nå, dette er bare en dagstur og sikkert enkle tester...
Jeg var hos Trude på fredag og fikk laget 4 LO'er til "sommerskolen". Skal legge dem ut når jeg bare har fått skannet dem. Det var skikkelig deilig med en venninnekveld!

PDA og scrappetørke

For noen måneder siden fant vi ut at Ella har en hjertefeil. Legen hadde funnet en bilyd på hjertet som vi skulle utrede på sykehuset. Sånn bare for å finne ut at alt var i orden. Men, så viste det seg at det er en feil der, kalt PDA. Dette innebærer at noe av blodet som kommer med oksygen fra lungene føres direkte tilbake til lungene istedenfor å fraktes rundt i kroppen. Sannsynligvis skal hun opereres. Vi skal på ny utredning på Rikshospitalet i neste uke, så etter det vet vi nok mer.
Det kom som et sjokk, og etter dette har jeg ikke hatt særlig overskudd eller inspirasjon til scrapping. Men, nå kjenner jeg det er på tide å ta meg sammen og komme meg igang igjen! Jeg tror jeg vil ha godt av noe annet å tenke på. For det blir jo endel bekymring da, sånn er det å være mamma...
Inne på Minneriket har de "Sommerskolen" som jeg tenker å bruke til inspirasjon. Der er der masse kjekke oppgaver, som jeg ikke kan unngå å bli inspirert av!
